The Bad Batch 1.01

So, what did you think of Bad Batch 1.01 "Aftermath?" Positive, negative, whatever.

I feel really weird about putting my reaction here because I made this community to focus on the positive… and my reaction is not.

I am interested in Omega's story and I liked the look at the immediate post-RotS Empire. The latter was my primary reason for wanting to watch the show.

But… I need to preface this with the fact that the Kanan comic is my favorite part of Disney canon. Depa is one of my favorite Jedi. So I should have liked to actually see Caleb and her as more than a three-second cameo in TCW. But the beginning of this episode completely contradicted the comic. It removed 99% of the heartbreak and made everything about the Bad Batch. The first five minutes of the episode mananged to piss me off, so that colored my opinion of the episode in general.

Trying to put the above to the side, I did like that it seems the main conflict will be between Crosshair and the rest of the Bad Batch. It makes for a more compelling storyline than the entirity of the Bad Batch versus the Empire.

I'll give it a few more episodes, but I'm not sure I'm going to continue watching. (Mod hat on: I will continue to make episode reaction posts for everyone else no matter if I stop watching.)
